Enterprise-Focused Learning and Development Company Broadens Reach Beyond Its Local Market

ELB Learning’s Challenge

ELB Learning provides a suite of software and tailored professional services to help organizations unlock the potential of their people and their businesses. They currently serve 80% of Fortune 100 companies.

In spring 2023, ELB partnered with Carve to help them reach new media audiences, including national and trade outlets, beyond their local Utah headquarters. They also wanted to position themselves as the leading e-learning and corporate training solution – offering a suite of software and custom services – for enterprises and at the same time, establish ELB’s executives as subject matter experts in the corporate learning space.

The Carve Solution

Carve leveraged compelling storytelling that highlights the brand’s innovative learning solutions to increase awareness, drive interest, and create new business opportunities. Carve’s sustainable approach landed national media placements in CNBC and U.S. News and World Report between product and partnership announcements to further ELB executives’ thought leadership presence and improve their share of voice.

  • Carve elevated ELB’s CEO on LinkedIn by formalizing an executive communications strategy to position him as a top voice in the space and broaden the reach of ELB’s community. By treating LinkedIn as a thought leadership, always-on media channel, Carve was able to test ideas and receive immediate feedback from audiences. Successful ideas such as trending topics, meaningful comments, and more were then used across other channels.

  • ELB went “all in” early on AI. First, CTO John Blackmon’s role expanded to include Chief AI Officer (CAIO). Next, the first AI product integration, Cenario VR’s AI Wizard, hit the ground running. Since then, Carve incorporated ELB’s AI POV across company announcements, LinkedIn posts, and bylines.

  • Carve developed bylines for several ELB executives – the CEO, Chief AI Officer, Chief Business Officer, and Cybersecurity Experts – and placed them across HR, cybersecurity, technology, and government publications. These all spoke to important key audiences and were marketed across ELB-owned channels for increased reach.

  • “Your job will not be replaced by AI. Your job will be replaced by someone else who uses AI if you don’t,” said John Blackmon, chief AI officer of custom training organization ELB Learning, which has products used by companies like Google, Mastercard, and GM to upskill their workforces.”
