Your CES Guide to CES 2023

Refreshed February 20, 2024

From flying cars to health-tracking smart watches and toys that can teach kids to code, CES 2024 was one for the books. Attendee numbers crushed predictions, with more than 135,000 people celebrating the event’s triumphant return.

We were there with our clients Actasys, Educational Insights, hand2mind, Learning Resources, Lockly, OWC, Quickplay, and Victrola.

The 2025 event will be here before you know it from January 7 -10. One of the biggest lessons we’ve learned after almost 20 years of attending CES is that the time to start making your plan of attack for CES 2025 is now.

CES is huge, literally, with nearly 2.2 million net square feet of exhibit space. To make the most out of your presence and grab media attention, you need to do your homework. But, don’t worry about studying…

Here are nine things to do now before CES 2025 — consider this your cheat sheet.

Pro tip: “Don’t wait until November to re-ignite relationships with friendlies who may be there,” Aixa Bellido de Luna, Account Supervisor, Advocate, and Account Services said. “Stay in touch sooner rather than later. Plan on being earlier than ever on pretty much everything. Make sure you schedule reservations and have a backup plan if anything changes or falls through at the last minute.”

9 Things You Need to be Thinking About for CES 2025

Strategy:  Are you launching a new product? Is this an awareness or networking play?

Media Coverage: How will you garner media attention? Do you know how to insert yourself into the media narrative? Don’t forget to participate in media-only events.

Assets: Start getting your marketing materials, video content, giveaways, and product samples ready.

Awards: CES 2025 awards aren’t open yet – but when they do, don’t forget to add the media-sponsored ones like CNET, Tom’s Guide, and more to your radar! Start making the most out of your efforts now by analyzing what campaigns you’d want to highlight.

Schedule: Who should you meet with, which events should you attend? Once you’re onsite, scheduling becomes difficult. Everybody is on the move. Nail your CES schedule down early.

Team: Decide who your attending team should be to support your strategy and goals. If you’re planning a booth or experiential event, make sure you have enough people ready to roll up their sleeves and contribute.

Travel: Book hotels, airfare, Ubers, and dinner reservations. Keep in mind travel time while at CES.

Homebase: Choose designated spots to offer for on-the-go meetings. Figure out where you’ll spend most of your time, and then map out the restaurants, bars, and coffee shops in those areas to make it easy.

Health: Don’t forget to have a health protocol in place so you’re not scrambling, especially right after the holiday season.
