How I Got Here: Emily Auriemma, Account Supervisor

Keep up with Emily on LinkedIn!

What did you think you were going to be in elementary school or high school?

Don't laugh, but when I was in elementary school I wanted to be a professional bull rider...which is quite comical because I'm absolutely terrified of even riding a horse! So I'm not entirely sure where that dream came from.

In high school, I wanted to be a pharmacist and that's actually what I initially went to college for!

Did you study PR? If so, why? If not, what did you study?

When I first started college, I majored in biochemistry with a pre-pharmacy concentration. After about a year and a half, I realized that wasn't the path for me.

I had taken an event planning class that I loved and ended up switching to the communication program with a public relations concentration. From there, the rest is history!

How did you make your way to Carve?

I was part of the Freeman PR acquisition in November 2025! I started at Freeman PR right out of college, working within the toy space :)

What do you do today at Carve?

I'm currently an Account Supervisor for consumer products, pitching products to media and influencers for coverage opportunities.

What is the coolest project you've ever worked on - anywhere?

Working on the PEEPS EggMazing Egg Decorator campaign was definitely a fun project! Witnessing and being a part of the success of the EggMazing Egg Decorator through the years has always been joyful and something I look forward to each year, but being able to pitch the product with the Easter phenomena PEEPS license was a match made in PR heaven!

Plus, I grew up enjoying PEEPS too (specifically the purple bunnies) so it dabbled in childhood nostalgia....and I love a trip down memory lane!

What is the career accomplishment you're most proud of?

I can't pinpoint one in particular, but the high of getting a top-tier media placement either on national television or a large digital site is a feeling that's always one to be proud of.

I also love working with our interns and teaching them about the world of PR. They're always so eager to learn!

What is your superpower?

Memory and recall. I can remember the smallest of details even months later. Don't ask me what I ate for lunch yesterday though!

What would you love to learn more about (outside of PR)?

I have been obsessed with candles literally for as long as I can remember...my grandmom used to have this huge basket in her kitchen filled with all sorts of candles. My sister and I used to pretend we worked at Yankee Candle.

I’m also a sucker for the candle sale at Bath & Body Works...so needless to say I'd really love to learn about candle making. My husband actually got me a kit for Christmas, so I'm excited to dig into that and start experimenting!

If you were asked to teach someone how to do something in 5 minutes, what would it be?

I grew up dancing and absolutely loved tap! Somewhere in between being a professional bull rider and a pharmacist, I wanted to be a Rockette (I mean, what dancer doesn't?!). In 5 minutes, I could teach someone a basic time step or two!
