What did you think you were going to be in elementary school or high school?
I really wanted to be a popstar or a model, but that didn't work out LOL.
As I reached the end of high school, I wanted to create the jingles and copy for TV advertisements.
Did you study PR? If so, why? If not, what did you study?
I dual-majored in Public Relations and Writing & Rhetoric with a minor in Leadership Studies.
How did you make your way to Carve?
I worked with Scott Goldberg at my first agency job out of college. Later, in 2018, I met David Barkoe, CEO of Carve, at the Consumer Electronics Show. I was intrigued by all that Carve stands for.
Throughout my years at my previous agency, Ketchum, Scott and I kept in touch, and I always knew at one point I'd make my way back to working with him. In 2022, when my manager left Ketchum, I decided that was the right moment to make the jump to Carve.
What do you do today at Carve?
I oversee strategy and execution primarily for Consumer Product clients across Toys, Tech, Home and Lifestyle, as well as Hybrid accounts (enterprise brands speaking to both consumers and other businesses).
Some of my daily tasks include Media Relations, Strategy Development, Influencer Campaigns, and People Management. I also support New Business Development, identifying new brands to partner with.
What is the coolest project you've ever worked on - anywhere?
I love concepting big ideas and seeing them come to life. In summer 2023, Carve built the Michael Jordan Mobile Memorabilia Store for Upper Deck, a glass truck displaying iconic pieces of autographed MJ memorabilia. We had TV crews come from nearly all the local affiliate stations to conduct interviews and capture content. It was one of the coolest projects brought to life!
What is the career accomplishment you're most proud of?
There have been a few huge feature stories I've landed over the years, and those are my proudest moments. Some examples are this article in Forbes for a sneaker resale marketplace, Fast Company for Whirlpool, and Fortune for Relatable, the makers of the What Do You Meme? game.
What is your superpower?
Multitasking and speed typing. I can get so much done all at once, and get it done well!
What would you love to learn more about (outside of PR)?
The stock market. I tried to play, and it didn't go well. I'd love a true run-down on how to make smart investments that actually generate a return.
If you were asked to teach someone how to do something in 5 minutes, what would it be?
I can create a useful spreadsheet for anything. I have a master document from my wedding that everyone asks about!
