What did you think you were going to be in elementary school or high school?

Growing up, I always wanted to be a veterinarian. Up until my first semester in college, I thought that might be the path for me.

Did you study PR? If so, why? If not, what did you study?

I didn’t discover PR right away. I started college undecided, then declared Political Science as my major at the end of my freshman year. When I realized I’d need a second major, I applied to the Media and Journalism school, took one PR class, and immediately fell in love.

How did you make your way to Carve?

I actually found Carve through LinkedIn! I had been hoping to find the right opportunity and wanted to gain agency experience. After learning more about Carve, I knew it would be a great place to learn and grow.

What do you do today at Carve?

I am currently an Account Coordinator, supporting both the B2B and consumer teams. I help with media and influencer outreach, reporting, and overall account support.

What is the coolest project you worked on during your internship?

During my internship, I was tasked with podcast outreach for two clients, FYLD and ELB Learning. I researched relevant outlets and crafted my own pitches, which I loved. It feels great to be trusted and have the opportunity to take ownership. Seeing those efforts turn into placements was incredibly rewarding.

What is something new you learned during your internship that you’re excited to put to use?

I learned so much about media outreach and pitching best practices, especially for podcasts. I’m excited to apply these skills to craft pitches that grab attention and continue building deeper media relationships.

What would you love to learn more about outside of PR?

I would love to learn more about baking! I can make simpler recipes, but I want to learn how to bake pastries. (I’m looking at you, croissants!)

What is your superpower?

Adaptability. I can jump into new clients or projects and quickly get up to speed.

If you were asked to teach someone how to do something in 5 minutes, what would it be?

I grew up cheering and cheered in college. Fun fact: I competed at the same competition featured in the Netflix show Cheer! In 5 minutes, I could teach someone a simple cheer or tumbling skill.
