Educational Insights is an award-winning toy and game company with a playful promise to provide new experiences that ignite passion and fuel children's creativity and imagination. Their goal was to differentiate themselves in a highly-competitive market and elevate their brand recognition and awareness of beyond traditional industry media. Carve was tasked with strategic marketing, traditional media relations, and earned and paid influencer campaigns to support sell-through for their products in business, technology, and vertical-specific outlets.

The Carve Solution

Carve delivered an integrated marketing campaign of traditional media, earned and sponsored influencers, and a sales-driven program. Our three-pronged approach secured coverage in top-tier and high-profile publications such as Buzzfeed, Good Housekeeping, and Parade, and continues to elevate the Educational Insights brand.

  • During the back-to-school season, we focused on the GeoSafari® products as tools for kids to get ready to return to classrooms. The tactics included tailored appearances at events like The Toy Insider's Sweet Suite to cultivate in-person media and influencer interactions. As a result, Fox aired a syndicated segment with Steve Noviello featuring these products. We also activated paid opportunities in top markets with consumer experts and on-air personalities like Jenn Jolly, Kurt the CyberGuy (FOX) and Carly Dorogi.

  • From the ground up, we created and executed advocate marketing efforts. The strategy included two separate influencer groups: one responsible for driving in-store awareness and the other for driving online clicks to Walmart.com.

  • With our media targeting strategy, we secured placements for Educational Insights’ products including features, roundups, and more. These opportunities resulted in an increase in sell-through to consumers of iconic STEM products from recognized brands like Walmart.
